A bird is likely a lifetime
companion, not a trinket to be bought on impulse. Like
buying a luxury car, you should carefully research the
attributes and behaviors of birds you're interested in,
and then select a few birds you wish to interact with;
you'll be amazed at the different "personalities!"
You'll see that the bird will, in a sense, select you as
well. Only after quality interaction should you make the
commitment to your new friend.
Birds are more than pets. They
make great companions and are good for your mental and
physical health. All birds are not good for all people
though -- some fit into certain lifestyles better than
others. There are over 8500 living species of birds and
over 300 species of parrots alone! Deciding which
companion bird is right for you is easy if you learn
about your options. You have taken a great first step by
reading and learning more about the different types of
companion birds.
